Sport Yarn
Evocation of Monet

Monet Red
"I just finished knitting a sweater with your sport weight yarn that I bought at the farmstand in Union Square. It was a joy to knit with and once I washed the sweater the wool became even more soft and beautiful. Thank you for creating such beautiful yarn!"_Naomi

Notice that almost every part of Monet's sketch has a red (mauve) tint. Monet evokes color. This is Impressionist painting and it involves you in its coming into being; with few colors Monet makes you feel that you see more.
It is surprising how color works. Colors are a pleasing bridge; people feel good around you and they tell you how good you look. Colors amaze.
Our Saxon Merino wool is custom spun into a sport weight 2 ply yarn at the Green Mountain Spinnery; the yarn is uniquely hand-dyed at the farm in small, limited-edition dye lots.
Hand-dyed yarn usually has color variation, yet the yarn you select will be from the same dye lot.
