Catskill Merino sheep are raised with care. From April to November they graze fields of orchard grass in Goshen, NY, an hour northwest of the city. The flock overwinters on hay baled at the farm; and, for their energy needs in the winter, we supplement their diet with whole grains that are antibiotic and hormone free.

Buying lamb from the Lamb Store is as personal and secure as buying lamb from us at Greenmarket. We care for our sheep and we care for our community.

Fresh lamb is shrink-wrapped then frozen; we cold-package it in an insulated box with frozen cold packs that are "food safe" and "colder than ice" to ensure the lamb gets to you in proper order.

 

We ship UPS Ground or UPS 2nd Day Air. Catskill Merino must receive your order by Friday to ship it on the following Monday to have the lamb delivered by Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on your destination.

Expect the following charges to ship 15 lb. of lamb with 2 lb. of cold packs in a 3 lb. insulated box from the farm in Goshen, NY is

• $95 to San Francisco, CA (94103) UPS 2nd Day Air arrives in 2 days

These estimates include our cost of the cold packs ($2.00) and an insulated box ($14.00); The exact shipping charge will be determined when the order is packaged and weighed for shipping to a specific destination. These estimates do not include the cost of the lamb.
